Songze Historical Relics Museum
The 3,680-square-meter archeological museum in Songze village, Qingpu District, provides a rare glimpse of Neolithic life in the region. It houses cultural relics and historical findings from the Songze Culture Ruins, listed as one of the 100 important archeological findings of the 20th century in China. It shows not only the ruins of a primitive society but also their tools and artifacts. The museum attracts academics, students and tourists who want to know what Shanghai looked like 5,000 years ago.
