Chinese language learners who are currently in China will be able to take the online HSK and HSKK tests at home on April 10, according to a new notice by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation.

Online registration for the tests began on March 21 and will end on March 27.

The HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) or Chinese Proficiency Test is the national standardized test to assess Chinese language proficiency of non-native speakers. The HSKK (Hanyu Shuiping Kouyu Kaoshi), or HSK Speaking Test, assesses Chinese language speaking abilities.

Certificates for the tests may be required for studying abroad, graduation and job applications.
