Additional HSK Online Chinese Test (Home Edition) to be held on May 22
Chinese language learners who are currently in China will be able to take the online HSK and HSKK tests at home on May 22, according to a new notice by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation.
Online registration for the tests will end on May 8. The center has previously offered several online tests in response to the strong request by individuals who want to take tests in China amid the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic.
The HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) or Chinese Proficiency Test is the national standardized test to assess Chinese language proficiency of non-native speakers. The HSKK (Hanyu Shuiping Kouyu Kaoshi), or HSK Speaking Test, assesses Chinese language speaking abilities.
Certificates for the tests may be required for studying abroad, graduation from universities and applying for jobs.
