The development of traditional medicine and the international standardization of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) were discussed at an international forum in Shanghai from Oct 18 to 19.
The forum was attended by 120 scholars and experts from eight countries and three international organizations, who discussed traditional medicine in their respective home countries.
The forum also provided an exchange and cooperation platform for various medical schools.
Organizers said they hope the forum will help enhance academic exchange in the field of traditional medicine and expand the international influence of TCM.
The Shanghai University of TCM, the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, and the Shanghai Institute of TCM helped host the forum.
