The Tongji University Alumni Association signed a partnership agreement with the Alumni Society of ParisTech, a French national institute of higher engineering and technology, on Oct 25.
According to the agreement, the two parties will establish a communication platform for alumni from the two universities, which will allow them to participate in industrial and economic activities in both countries.
This was the first time the Tongji University Alumni Association signed a partnership agreement with an alumni society of a foreign university.

He was invited to attend the 2019 Global Alumni Conference of the Alumni Society of ParisTech, where he delivered a speech recounting the years of cooperation between the two universities, and expressed hope for closer cooperation through efforts from alumni on both sides.
ParisTech is one of the most famous engineering institutes in France. Tongji University signed a cooperation framework agreement with the institute in March 2009 and a master-level double diploma program agreement in November of the same year.
Representatives of ParisTech and Tongji University celebrated the 10th anniversary of the signing of the two agreements on Oct 24 and discussed intelligent transportation with Chinese and French companies.
Jiang Bo, vice president of Tongji University, welcomed the French guests to the celebration ceremony. He reviewed the partnership between two universities and expressed a desire to expand cooperation.
During the event, professors from the two universities and representatives from Chinese and French companies held several roundtable seminars on clean and sustainable products, motor design in the transportation field, and innovation and virtual reality.
