Delegation from University of Western Australia visits SJTU

A delegation from the University of Western Australia led by the university's Vice President Tayyeb Shah visited Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) on Nov 1.
SJTU Vice President Xu Xuemin welcomed the delegation at a meeting. The two sides renewed their Memorandum of Understanding and Student Exchange Agreement.
Xu expressed her hope to expand cooperation between the two universities beyond their previous cooperation in the medical field. She also suggested increasing the number of exchange students between the two schools.
Shah has visited SJTU several times. He said that he hoped to take the opportunity to further promote cooperation and development between the two universities.
Xu introduced SJTU's scientific intern program, hoping to promote scientific research cooperation and student exchange through the program.
Students at the University of Western Australia were invited to participate in the clinical internship programs held by affiliated hospitals of SJTU, Xu said.
The delegation also visited the School of Medicine at SJTU and met students who have attended the internship program.
