Orsay Museum Curator gives lecture at SJTU

Orsay Museum Curator Laurence des Carr visited Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) on Nov 1 and became the ninth lecturer at the university's Wenbo lecture hall.
With a keynote speech entitled "Orsay Museum: From the Train Station to the Wonderful Course of the Most Beautiful Museum", Carr shared the unique development path of the "most beautiful museum in Europe".
Carr discussed how the transformation the museum has undergone over the years and introduced its many priceless collections.
She discussed with the audience the important role of impressionist and post-impressionist painters in modern art development, and said that the museum should offer an artistic and educational experience for visitors.
After the speech, SJTU teachers and students exchanged ideas with Carr on topics such as impressionist art, exhibition technology innovation, and Sino-French museum cooperation.
Carr welcomed anyone who wants to visit the Orsay Museum and expressed hope for more cooperation with China.
