The International Education College of Shanghai University has implemented a series of measures to protect international students from infection amid the coronavirus outbreak.
The student service center at the college has asked students if they have been to Hubei province, the epicenter of the outbreak, or had close contact with people from Hubei recently.
Plans for dealing with students who stay at school, who have left school, and who plan to return to school have been made as well, and counselors will record students' daily health conditions and offer prevention tips in a group chat.
Students who stay at school will receive daily temperature checks and have access to disinfection products.
Cleaners at the university are also disinfecting dormitories and public areas regularly to ensure a safe campus environment.
In addition, the university's media team has been posting information related to the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus pneumonia on its public WeChat account since Jan 21 in response to concerns brought forth by international students.
