Shanghai Jian Qiao University
Shanghai Jian Qiao University (SJQU) was established in 2000 and is a multi-disciplinary private university that focuses on undergraduate education and cultivates innovative talents with practical skills through close cooperation with businesses and enterprises.
The university offers 37 undergraduate programs in economics, management, literature, engineering, science, art, and education.
Located in the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Lin-gang Special Area, SJQU's campus covers an area of 532,500 square meters and boasts a beautiful natural environment and advanced facilities.
It was the first private university in Shanghai to enroll foreign students and hosts more than 100 short-term international students every year.
SJQU began to recruit foreign students in 2008. Now the university provides Chinese language and culture courses for foreign students. For overseas students interested in pursuing the BA Degree Program, its International Design College stands out because all courses are offered in English.
SJQU adheres to a school-enterprise cooperation model as it seeks to develop into an applied technology-based university. It has partnered with more than 100 enterprises to share resources and organize training courses.
The university values international cooperation and exchanges and aims to cultivate students with a global vision and strong cross-cultural communication skills. It has signed academic cooperation and exchange agreements with more than 100 overseas universities.
